Advice, information, support and opportunities to network with mums who’ve already taken the plunge and set themselves up in business are what you need if you see your future as a ‘mumpreneur’.
A good place to start is mumsclub.co.uk.
The website was set up by Jane Hopkins, a mum herself, who decided to change direction after starting a family. She wanted to create a place where other business-minded mums could network to get their hands on the essential tools to establish a thriving home-based business.
It’s a good place to go for inspiration: case studies of how other women have built a business may encourage you too to go for it. Mumsclub also hosts a forum where you can seek advice and contacts. And it is a hub of information on workshops, events and competitions you might qualify for to get your business off the ground.
