  • 6 Slices of white bread
  • 1tbsp Peanut butter
  • 1tbsp Strawberry jam
  • 2tbsp Cream cheese
  • 1 Carrot
    peeled and grated
  • 1tbsp Chives
    chopped
  • 4 Sices of wholemeal bread
  • A knob of butter
    softened
  • ¼ Cucumber
    sliced

For the decoration

  • The ends of 1 cucumber
  • 2 circles of Red pepper
    (cut using the top of a piping nozzle) 
  • Strip of ham
    cut into a forked-tongue
  • Kiwi fruit
    sliced (optional)
  • Chives
    (optional)

    Method

    • step 1

      Using white bread, make one peanut butter and jam sandwich and two cream cheese, carrot and chive sandwiches. Spread the brown bread with the butter and make two cucumber sandwiches.

    • step 2

      Cut out four rounds from each sandwich using a 5cm fluted cookie cutter.

    • step 3

      Arrange the rounds in a snake shape on a large platter. Use the ends of the cucumber to make the head and tail. To make eyes, attach the pepper circles using the cocktail stick halves. Cut a mouth in the front of the head, and insert the ham.

    • step 4

      You could also create a grass effect with kiwi slices and chives.
