Apple puree

Sweet stewed apples are a great pudding, suitable from first weaning

apple puree
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and cored
  • 3 tbsp apple juice, or boiled water


  • Step 1

    Chop your chosen fruit into small even sized pieces.

  • Step 2

    Put these into a heavy based saucepan with the apple juice or water.

  • Step 3

    Cover the pan and cook over a low heat (about 6 mins for apples) until the fruit is tender.

  • Step 4

    Blend the fruit to a very smooth puree (no lumps) using an electric hand blender.
