• 2 Baking apples
  • 1tsp Cinnamon
  • 1tsp Raisins
  • 1tbsp Butter


  • STEP 1

    Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas mark 4. Wash the apples and remove the cores to 1/2 inch of the bottom of the apples.

  • STEP 2

    In a small bowl, combine the cinnamon and raisins. Place the apples in a baking dish and stuff each apple with the mixture. Top with a dot of butter and add the boiling water to the baking dish.

  • STEP 3

    Bake for 30-40 minutes then remove from the oven, baste the apples with the pan juices and scoop the insides out into a bowl. Top with fromage frais. Chop before serving.

  • STEP 4

    *It's much easier to hollow out the apples with an apple corer, but if using a knife, cut around the core and then hollow out with a teaspoon.
