  • 50g Chicken breast
  • 1 Sweet potato
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 Parsnip
  • 25g Cheddar cheese
    grated
  • A punch of dried oregano
  • Vegetable oil
    for frying

Method

  • step 1

    Peel and dice the sweet potato, carrot and parsnip.

  • step 2

    Boil the diced vegetables together until tender, then drain and add the oregano. Stir to mix.

  • step 3

    While the veg is cooking, dice the chicken and fry in a little vegetable oil until fully cooked.

  • step 4

    Chop the cooked chicken into 1cm pieces. Mix the chicken into the cooked veg, and add the grated cheese and let it melt.

  • step 5

    To serve, choose according to your baby's age and weaning stage:

    • For early weaners and babies on purees: Use a blender to puree to a fairly smooth consistency
    • For 7-8 months+: Mash to a lumpy consistency
    • For 8-9 months+: Chop the chicken and vegetables into small pieces

    Serving idea

    • You can use ready cooked leftover chicken for this recipe, and vary it by using other vegetables.
