Nutritious, easy-to-make dish, simply mix all ingredients together and pop in the oven! Suitable from 11 months

Simple meatloaf
  • 500g beef mince
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • 120g breadcrumb
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 0.5 apple, grated
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp oregano


  • Step 1

    Grease the sides of a 900g loaf tin and line the bottom with baking parchment.

  • Step 2

    Place all the ingredients into a large bowl and mix thoroughly.

  • Step 3

    Add the mixture to the loaf tin and flatten down with back of a spoon.

  • Step 4

    Cover the top of the loaf with baking parchment and bake at 180C/350F/Gas mark 4 for one hour 30 minutes or until the loaf is cooked through.

  • Step 5

    Remove the paper on top of the loaf around 20 minutes before the end of the cooking time.
