In our (weary) experience, most 11-year-old boys struggle to sit still for too long – unless you've let them loose on the Playstation, of course.

But Dušan Krtolica, 11, sits still for hours and hours, producing the most amazingly complex drawings.

The Serbian boy's incredibly detailed, anatomically correct drawings of birds, bugs, fish and dinosaurs are, as you can see from our pictures, astonishingly accomplished for a child of his age.

He's has been drawing since he was 2 years old and, by the time he was 8, he had already had 2 national solo exhibitions.

His incredibly meticulous work – he uses a magnifying glass to help him get the detail millimetre perfect – reveals his fascination with animals, so it's no surprise to hear he used to want to be a zoologist when he grows up.

"I would have studied animals and published a book about them," he says, "but now I’m going to draw all of them!"

Check out more of his amazing line drawings in the gallery bellow.
