Celebrity dads hit the headlines

Why Rod Stewart, Peter Andre and the biological father of Madonna’s adopted daughter are in the news

It’s only Tuesday and it’s already been a busy week for dads, as a trio of fathers have hit the headlines! Rod Stewart has revealed he is making plans for one more baby. The 64-year-old rocker, who is already a dad to six other children, said he and wife Penny Lancaster want a little brother or sister for 4-year-old son Alistair. “One more, then I’m going to close the office!”, he told contactmusic.com.

Meanwhile, Peter Andre has spoken out about seeing his children with Katie Price’s new lover, cage fighter Alex Reid. The 36-year-old singer revealed he woke up in the middle of the night and had a panic attack after seeing the photos. “I found it unbelieveably hard to see another man with Junior and Princess, and that was probably the lowest I’ve felt throughout the whole split. It’s any father’s nightmare to see pictures like that and I went to bed not only heartbroken but also massively anxious,” reported the Daily Mail.

Finally, Madonna is reportedly taking her adopted daughter Mercy to visit her biological father. The singer is currently in Malawi to open the Raising Malawi Academy for Girls, which she funded. But it’s been revealed that she’s also planning to take 3-year-old Mercy to meet her biological dad, James Kambewa, during the trip. “Madonna wants to meet James because she doesn’t want to deny Mercy her background. She wants to assure him that Mercy won’t be de-linked from her roots,” a source is quoted as saying in The Metro.
