Nursery equipment company CYBEX has launched its Jeremy Scott Collection during London Fashion Week 2013.
American fashion designer Jeremy Scott is famous for his collection of Adidas footwear – which featured stuffed animals on trainers – and is well known for his loud designs. The New York Times described him as “fashion’s last rebel” and fan, Katy Perry, said he “designs to please himself”.
He hasn’t failed to surprise. His range for CYBEX features brightly-coloured cartoon junk food designs. Hot dogs, pizzas, popcorn and cotton candy have been turned into cartoon characters and printed on CYBEX buggies, changing bags and baby slings.
Explaining his choice of design, Jeremy Scott said: “It began with me thinking about the term ‘food fight’; like something from an 80s movie where one kid in a cafeteria throws his pizza slice, then another joins in, then another… except I envisioned the food itself coming alive, having fun, and participating in the fight!”
CYBEX by Jeremy Scott’s website also features fast food recipes for each of the cartoon characters.
The range, which includes a pushchair, baby carrier, car seat, and accessories, is available exclusively to Selfridges in London. Prices start at £95 for a change bag and go up to £500 for the Callisto travel system.
