Gwyneth Paltrow, Victoria Beckham and Jessica Simpson are all fans of cupping and, according to a source, Jennifer Aniston is giving the technique a go to help boost her fertility.

Cupping is a traditional Chinese technique through which you have hot cups placed on your back in order to suck toxins out of your body and improve circulation.

As with the increasingly popular use of acupuncture as an aid for fertility, cupping isn’t directly linked to improved fertility, rather it is used to reduce stress. As Zita West explains, stress is one of the major factors of unexplained infertility: “When you look at what is stopping people from getting pregnant, the common theme is stress.”

At the recent premier for her film Call Me Crazy, Jen’s strapless top revealed the resulting large white marks on her back.

A source told Grazia, “Jen’s a fan of cupping and has had it before to assist with anxiety. But it can also help boost fertility and it could certainly be one of the reasons she’s having it done now.

“Jen’s always said she wants to conceive naturally and is very open to exploring natural therapies to help her,” the source added.

Given Jen’s history for poking fun at continued baby rumours, we bargain this could be another one for the former Friends star to have a chuckle at.
