Last week we gave you a sneak preview of an exciting new buggy coming out soon from Silver Cross. We can now reveal some more details of the Surf, a buggy that’s guaranteed to be a headturner when it’s launched in Jan 2010.
Over the past couple of years, Silver Cross has come up with some strikingly different designs with buggies such as the Dazzle and Halo, the recent Doodle highchair and collaboration with designer Bill Amberg.
The Surf looks different again. Available in black, slate and linen grey, this is a statement pushchair, designed for mums who like their buggies modern, sleek and urban.
The buzz word with buggies at the moment is forward and parent facing, and as you’d expect, the Surf is full reversible, giving you both options in which way you’d like your baby and toddler to face.
It’s also made from a lightweight magnesium chassis with airsprung suspension, which is techhy talk for ‘light to carry and steer and comfy for your baby’. Just how light and comfy, we’ll be able to tell you when we get an early buggy to review before it hits the shops.
Silver Cross also tell us that the Surf is absolutely all-terrain, so you can comfortably push it around town, on country lanes and even on the beach – that’s one claim we’ll be checking out.
It’s suitable from birth and comes with a gorgeous snuggly babynest for your newborn, plus it’s car seat compatible so can be converted into a travel system.
