It’s the news many of us have been waiting for; the new UPPAbaby Vista will soon be available as a complete double pushchair.
The current Vista model has been on the UK market for four years and is a best-selling travel system both here and in the US. At the moment, the Vista can be converted to carry two children by buying a Rumble Seat (£99.99).
But many parents (including our very own MFM reviewer) have complained of the lack of space for their second child when the seat is attached and it seems UPPAbaby has been listening.
The new Vista buggy, revealed at the ABC and then Kind + Jugend baby fairs, can now fit a seat unit and Rumble Seat or two carrycots or two car seats at the same time, making it a true double.
In fact, parents with two children can look forward to changing between the multiple seating options of the new Vista and, according to UPPAbaby, still feel like they are pushing a single pram.
In addition to making the Vista a double, the American-based manufacturer has made changes to the Rumble Seat.It can now go rear and forward-facing, recline and is a little bigger.
Parents fond of shopping will also be happy to know that the under-seat basket has been made bigger and longer, while the sun canopy is extendable and offers UPF+ 50 protection.
The full specifications for the Vista double are yet to be released, simply because the buggy isn’t due in the shops until spring 2015, but it will be more expensive than the current single model, which retails at £629.
However, UPPAbaby assure us that customers can expect the newer version to have many of the features that has made it one of the fastest-selling prams in the UK – with a 77% increase in sales this year.
We’ll be testing out the new UPPAbaby Vista soon…
