With both his dads grinning from ear to ear and Elton John wearing a fetching purple emsemble for the occasion, baby Zachary has been introduced to the celebrity world after Elton and husband David Furnish decided to show off their newborn for the first time on the cover of OK! magazine.
As part of a world exclusive, Elton, 63, and David, 48, have opened up about Zachary's surrogate birth, how they were left heartbroken when their bid to adopt Ukranian orphan Lev and how they haven't given up on him.
Talking about Zachary's arrival into the world on Christmas Day, Elton revealed that Zachary, "shot out like a rocket", and that he's in awe about being a dad. "I've never felt anything like it in my life. You're so awestruck, I will never forget that feeling ever," Elton told OK! magazine.
Elton also hit out at critics who predicted that Zachary will be the most spoilt celeb tot. "I'm ready to have a child and lavish my love on our son and not spoil him materially."
Also opening up about his and David's long journey to become dads, he revealed that they haven't forgotten about Ukranian orphan Lev and his brother Artyom, who they tried to adopt in 2009 but failed because of strict laws on same sex couples adopting. "We're still consulting about finding the best possible home for them," Elton insisted. "We felt awful. We kept hitting red tape but we're not giving up until they're out and in a safe, supported home," added David.
We think baby Zachary is a cutie!
