Disney has released the first stills from a follow-up to Frozen. But Elsa fans, don’t get over excited – the pictures are from a 7-minute short and not a feature-length film. Frozen Fever will be shown in cinemas before Disney’s live-action Cinderella, which will be released on 13 March.
The short is centred around four of Frozen’s favourite characters – Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and Olaf – all voiced by the movie’s original actors.
In the cartoon, Elsa is throwing Anna a birthday party. But the plans go wrong when Elsa comes down with a cold. “Elsa doesn’t get a cold in the usual way,” says director Jennifer Lee. “She’s special. Surprising things occur that wreak a little havoc.”
“We continue this story of these two sisters, who only had each other growing up together,” says Josh Gad. “They are still supporting each other. That’s what this is about.”
The short features a new song from the husband-and-wife duo behind the Oscar-winning Let it Go. Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez’s new hit is said to be just as catchy as their original song. You have been warned…
