Gwyneth Paltrow admits to letting her daughter Apple stay home from school
After offering working mums parenting tips, celebrity yummy mummy confesses to taking Apple out of school to spend more time with her
After offering other mums parenting advice on her website Goop.com, Gwyneth Paltrow has admitted to breaking the rules with her own children.
The actress lives with singer Chris Martin and their two children Apple, 6, and Moses, 4, in North London. She revealed that she took Apple out of school for the day to take her to a beauty parlour and have lunch.
“I’ll probably get kicked out of our school for admitting this, but I let Apple stay home yesterday. I just needed to be with her,” she told Good Housekeeping magazine in the US.
The admission, which is against the strict attendance rules insisted upon by most UK schools, comes after Gwyneth’s blog post with advice for working mums was slated for being patronising.
And it seems she may have to do the same for Apple's brother Moses, after Apple showed off about her mum's preferential treatment! Gwyneth had to tell off her little girl, saying: "Apple, coulnd't you have just asked me first? I know you're trying to make your brother feel better, but... oh, Apple!"
Would you be allowed to take your little ones out of school when you feel like it?
