Jessica Simpson’s unusual baby shower favours… condoms!
Behind-the-scenes footage from Jess’s baby shower pokes fun at her unexpected second pregnancy
Mum-to-be Jessica Simpson has spoken openly about her surprise second pregnancy and it seems she’s using her experience to educate her guests.
Amongst blue nail varnish and lipgloss, guests had the chance to use fishing rods to pluck packs of condoms out of the party favour tank. Jess’s party planner jokes in a People TV clip, “We even have some condoms in there, as this pregnancy was a surprise for Jessica.”
Jess, who is expecting a boy with fiancé Eric Johnson, has often joked that getting ‘knocked up’ is stopping her from making it down the aisle, getting pregnant again around six months after the birth of daughter Maxwell. Jess told Jay Leno, “We’re doing it very backwards, I know… I’ll just keep my legs crossed I guess, this time.”
During an interview Jessica accidentally announced she was expecting a boy and looks quite the beaming mum-to-be in a blue dress, apt for the occasion.
Among the jokes and chuckles, Jess looks genuinely chuffed with her Tom Sawyer-themed baby shower, complete with swans and a banjo player, naturally.
