It’s the moment Britain has been waiting for ever since the royal wedding back in 2011, now we are very happy to say we told you so, as it’s been confirmed that Kate Middleton is officially expecting her first child.
The palace released an official statement announcing the happy news this afternoon, saying, “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby,”
“The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news.”
The Duchess has been admitted to King Edward VII Hospital today with acute morning sickness, which may have spurred on the official statement.
“As the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal Highness is expected to stay in hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter,” the palace said.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
