Much-loved TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp has told Woman magazine that she would love a baby daughter.
The house-hunting, home-baking star already has four boys in her family – two sons, Bay, six and Oscar, four, and two stepsons, Hal, 12 and Orion, nine.
“[As one of three sisters] I thought it was all about girls,” Kirstie told Woman magazine. “Now, I’m blissfully happy with my boys. If I was lucky enough to have another child, a girl, that would be great. But I genuinely don’t understand these women who go on and on about wanting a daughter”
“I’ve not ruled out having another baby.” Kirstie says. “I just can’t draw that line. It would be an entirely selfish act in some ways but it would be rather lovely at the same time.”
And, like most women, Kirstie is counting her chickens. “I feel incredibly blessed with the family I love, and in some ways I think I shouldn’t push my luck – I worry having another baby would push everything over the edge.”
What do you think? Is it important to you to have boys and girls in the family?
