Lidl baby food pouches recall - what you need to know and do
We explain which Lidl baby food pouches have been affected and what to do if you have one at home
Lidl has issued a recall on 10 different varieties of its Lupilu Baby Food Pouches, due to concerns they could possibly contain mould and are unsafe to eat.
What to do you if you've bought any of the affected baby food pouches?
If you have any of the baby food pouches at home, please return them to your nearest store for a full refund. Lidl has also said you won't need a receipt to receive your refund.
The FSA (Food Standards Agency) has said that notices will be displayed in all Lidl stores selling the products, notifying customers about the recall and what to do if you've bought one of the affected pouches.
What if you've already given your baby one of these Lupilu Baby Food Pouches?
You can speak to Lidl's customer service team by calling 0370 444 1234. You can also read the full statement on the supermarket's website.
If you think your child may be ill, or notice symptoms like diarrhoea and vomiting, after eating one of these pouches, you can call Lidl's customer service team or if you feel that doesn’t give you enough reassurance, then contact your GP or ring NHS 111. However it's important to keep in mind that babies can get ill for different reasons, especially during winter, so it may not be directly related to the affected food pouches.

Family GP Dr Philippa Kaye says, "How harmful this could potentially be would depend on the types of fungus that are growing in the mould and whether or not there's also bacteria also in the product, but it could lead to diarrhoea and vomiting. So it is safest to avoid giving your baby any product which is affected."

If you've bought any other Lupilu baby products, Lidl has said there are no safety concerns regarding these.
