It's official! Prince Harry and US actress Meghan Markle are engaged to be wed in Spring 2018 ?

The happy news was announced by Kensington Palace just yesterday, and shortly after the couple stepped out for a public photo call and sat down for their first official interview.

Of course one of the first questions asked was: "Children?"

???

Yep, we'd barely known the Prince had made Meghan a Princess-to-be before asking if kids were on the cards...

More like this

Prince Harry politely, if a tad awkwardly, responded with: "Not currently, no. But I think, eventually, one step at a time, and hopefully we’ll start a family in the near future.”

We've even seen headlines suggesting that 36-year-old Meghan is already pregnant (thanks to her not-so-skintight coat), and noticed bookies taking bets on when a baby announcement will come.

Honestly, this all sounds too familiar to us ??

Well, not the bookies and the press attention, obvs... but we do often find that the moment an engagement ring is slipped on a finger, well-meaning (but kinda intrusive) questions about 'starting a family' begin popping up.

We guess that's one area of life where royals really are no different from the rest of us ?

Have your say

Anyway, this all got us wondering: when did those questions start popping up for you? After a certain length of time together? After you announced your engagement? Perhaps the minute you got married?

We'd love to know on Facebook, Twitter or in the comments below!
