Double Olympic gold medallist Mo Farah continued his year to remember with the joyous arrival of his twin daughters. Presenting his newborns for the first time in Hello! Magazine, we can see the girls have obviously inherited their father’s long limbs.
“It’s like a fairy tale. We couldn’t ask for anything more,” wife Tania told Hello! “Twin one, the eldest, is Aisha [and] twin two is Amani. Aisha weighed 5lb 20z while Amani was 4lb 40z.”
Farah, who inspired a nation to do the ‘Mobot’, is still reeling from his Olympic-double. “I dreamt of becoming an Olympic champion and to do it twice in your country with a stadium of 80,000 people shouting your name, it doesn’t get better than that.”
The proud father cut the umbilical cord and was the first to hold the twin girls. Some of the most memorable images from this year’s Olympic Games were of Tania and seven-year-old daughter Rhianna joining Mo to celebrate on the track after his 10,000 metre win.
