Musican and TV presenter Myleene Klass has revealed that it’s considered normal in her family to share around the breast milk.
In an interview in yesterday’s Evening Standard, single mum-of-two Myleene was discussing her involvment with The Big If London campaign that is demanding G8 leaders tackle world poverty, when she appears to have let slip that sharing breast milk is a Klass family tradition.
Telling an anecdote about her father, a senior officer in the Royal Navy, Myleene said he used to add his wife’s breast milk to his afternoon tea. She then went on to say, “What? it’s not weird. Come on, it’s normal! I made everyone try mine.”
Myleene added that it tastes “just like those probiotic yoghurt drinks. Sweet – not as sweet as condensed milk”.
Myleene said, “I grew up knowing that he did that so it’s not weird to me. I sound like a happy-clappy hippy. Oh well, now you know, we’re that kind of family.”
Wonder if Myleen’s two daughters, Ava and Hero, aged five and two, will carry on the tradition!
