The classes will consist of six two-hour sessions and will cover the impact of birth on relationships, feeding and nutrition and labour and birth.
The cost starts from £110 per couple, or £70 for a mum attending on her own. This is cheaper than the NCT’s longer, signature course, which is still running and costs from £175 per couple.
The charity has decided to introduce these shorter, cheaper courses because it wants to reach out to new parents, whatever their background or income.
Around 100,000 parents each year attend an NCT class. Are/were you one of them? If not, would you be more tempted to go on one, now it’s not so expensive? Please do add a comment. We’d love to hear your feedback and experiences.
