We love how candid celeb mum Olivia Wilde is, and that she isn’t afraid to speak her mind.
So we weren’t surprised to come across the mum of 2’s post about an ad for a breast-pump bra that didn’t sit too well with her.
The pic shows a model sporting the bra in question, and Olivia wasn’t convinced the model REALLY was a new mum who needed a bra like this…
“Real quick just wanna take a break from online (lazy-person) xmas shopping to call bullsh*t on this ad for a breast-pump bra cuz this lady definitely did not recently birth a child who requires breastmilk to be pumped,” Olivia began, in a post on Instagram.
“Also want to give a quick cyber hug to this model who had to pretend to have recently birthed a milk-fed baby-child when she clearly has spent the last year lifting tiny weights and meditating.
“(Side note: why does Amazon insert breast-pump ads into every single goddamn search I make? I’m no longer in the market for more pump supplies Amazon! Shut it down!)”
No shade or shaming from Olivia though, as it turns out she’s actually a big fan of the bra itself.
“PS. I own this bra and it’s awesome.”
We reckon Olivia’s got some good points here – especially about seeing a product like this being modelled by someone who needs to pump milk (though it’s not been confirmed that this model isn’t actually a mum) – and the company who made the bra seems to think so, too.
The makers of the bra, Simple Wishes Hands Free, reached out to Olivia via an Instagram comment to say:
“We love hearing that you @oliviawilde and so many mums commenting on this post love our bra!! We are honoured to serve so many mums so well!
“And we are looking for mums to be in our video shoot in the spring – please reach out to us if you’re interested!”
