After excitedly announcing her pregnancy joy last week after months of baby talk, you’d think that Lily Allen would be keen to show off her baby bump. However, the 25-year-old singer came over all self-conscious during her gig at The Big Chill and banned official press photographers from taking her picture.
The usually glamorous songstress looked dressed down for her performance she claims will be her last ever. She wore an oversized lumberjack shirt hiding any signs of her bump, jeans and Converse trainers – replacing her staple high heels and pretty frocks.
Using her newly announced pregnancy as the reason for her dowdy appearance, the singer told the audience, “Excuse my casual attire but I’m pregnant and this is called The Big Chill.” She also revealed the reasons why she opted for trainers instead of her signature heels. “I packed high heels but my boyfriend unpacked them. He told me I’m not wearing high heels on stage.”
Lily’s other half Sam Cooper must have read the recent news report that high heels and pregnancy don’t mix, according to the Society or Chiropodists and Podiatrists.
