After its successful launch into the baby fashion world, Disney has unveiled its second gorgeous babywear collection – and we were lucky enough to get a sneak preview.
Replacing last season’s mascot (Dumbo), Bambi’s hopping companion Thumper has been unveiled as the new ‘face’ of the collection featuring charming Thumper newborn gift sets, comforters, soft babgros and (my favourite) a Thumper romper suit – complete with the bunny ears baby hat. Cute!
The S/S 2011 range is as plush, adorable and huggable as the last, in fact, I’d say even more so. Along with an update on their preview nautical Donald and Daffy Duck summer garb, we spied some impressive baby footwear too – think navy and white striped deck shoes for the boys, and Daffy emblazoned ballet shoes complete with bows, for the girls.
Steering away from garish, in-your-face designs, we particularly loved the brand new Lion King inclusion to the range. Everyone’s fave lion comes in the form of pistachio green babygros and sleepsuits, as well as pretty gingham trimmed, cotton dresses. Of course, there are also gorgeously soft plush teddy bear lions for the little ones (and adults) too.
The collection also featured soft hued Winnie the Pooh rompers, bibs, comforters and plush toys, as well as Minnie and Mickey making an appearance too.
You won’t be able to bag any of these lovely bits until January so keep your eyes peeled in your local Disney Store after the Christmas madness has fizzled out. Oh, and Disney will also be unveiling something else ultra special in 2011… We can’t tell you what it is yet, but what we can say is – you’ll love it!
