Waking up bright and early this morning, MFM headed to Amazon’s press show for an exclusive sneak preview of this years coolest Christmas goodies.

Walking into the show was like stepping into Amazon’s warehouse with everything from baby toys to cool gadgets, all in huge brand emblazoned boxes. After a cheeky fruit platter and glass of squash, we picked out some hot-to-trot gifts we think you’ll be buying your loved ones this Christmas.

Gifts for dad….

Apparently, modern dad is all about unusual hobbies  and you can’t get quirkier than the Skyprodigy 130 Reflector Telescope. It may look hefty, but it takes 10 minutes to set up, flat packs easily, and any amateur star watcher can use it without reading the manual. Very much a once-in-a-lifetime gift, with a price tag of (hold your breath) £800!

If your man likes reggae music than invest in a Bob Marley Bag of Rhythm Boombox (price still very hush-hush). With interchangeable docks included, this gadget will link up to any smart phone, so your man needn’t worry whether he has an iPhone, Blackberry or Samsung Galaxy.

The gamer within will jump for joy when he sees you’ve bought him a retro Tetris Light, £24.99, to jazz up his office. Be warned – after seeing it, you may just want one too!

If your man is getting a little grizzly on the facial front, give him a nudge in the right direction with a Braun Cruzer Face Shaver, £69.99. Whether he wants to trim his beard or style in a goatee, this little gadget will do it without drying out his skin.

If hubby has family abroad, he’ll be more than grateful for the Skype Camera, price to be confirmed. It plugs into any internet-ready TV, so you can catch up with your nearest and dearest from the comfort of your living room sofa. Bliss!

Gifts for mum…

After looking after the kids all day, everyday, tired tooties will be in need of some TLC. The Snuggle Hottie Slippers, price under wraps, help relieve aches and pains, and come in a cute kitten and cool dog style too. A festive must-have for any tired mama!

The Holy Grail for any mum is finding the time to style her hair, but Remington has found a solution. The Waver, £74.99, allows you to create gorgeous beach waves in less than five minutes, so getting out looking reasonable won’t seem so impossible.

No Christmas would be complete without a piece of gorgeous jewellery. We think these stunning Star Earrings, priced around £60, will do the trick, and won’t create too much of a dent in hubby’s wallet.

Gifts for kids…

Tiny Jedi’s will be thrilled when they see a Star Wars Watch, £24.99, in their Christmas stocking. And admit it… your inner child wants one too!

Your princess will be super snug around the log fire in Mini Vanilla’s Pyjama Set, £25, and there’s even an identical blue set for your little man, too.

If you have a trend-setting tot and a bit of spare cash in your pocket than this gorgeous French Connection Boys Aviator Jacket, rumoured to be between £60-£100, is a must-have! It’s super soft, great quality and bang on trend for A/W 12.

If your child is a fan of Winnie the Pooh, the Disney 100 Acre Wood Breakfast Set, £23, is an essential for Christmas, while the Tippitoes Billy Bear Rocking Animal, £49.99, will be a hit with mini adventurers.

Finally, your bundle of joy will look as slick as James Bond in the Tuxedo Bib, £11.50, and every inch a rock king in the Elvis Suit, £21. Ladies will fall at his feet.
