Suri Cruise – future fashion designer?
Mum Katie Holmes reveals that her fashionable pre-schooler designs her own clothes – and gives her style advice as well as Tom Cruise!
Suri’s not known as being the most fashion-forward celebrity toddler for nothing, with her rumoured £2 million wardrobe and endless supply of bespoke designer shoes, not to mention her taste in high heels. Suri Cruise has made headlines yet again today, after her mum Katie Holmes admitted that the stylish daughter makes her own clothes – at just 4 years old!
“Suri has picked out her own clothes since she was one-and-a-half. She says, ‘I want this sleeve cut,’ and it’s like, ‘OK, we’ll cut it,’” Katie told New York magazine.
The 32-year-old thinks that 4-year-old Suri Cruise’s sense of style and taste for fashion has been inherited from her after she spent her childhood in customised second-hand clothes.
“Growing up the youngest of five, there were a lot of hand-me-downs that I would sort of change up,” Katie said in the interview. “ Suri and I do that now with her clothes, or rather she does it.” However, we can’t imagine label-lover Suri wearing hand-me-downs…
It seems that Suri’s dad Tom Cruise’s wardrobe isn’t the only one being scrutinised by her fashion eye. Katie also revealed that fashion savvy Suri also gives her advice! “Tom and I went to the Met ball a couple of years ago and I had this beautiful red gown and royal-blue shoes that I wasn’t planning on wearing, but Suri made me put them on. I was like, ‘OK I trust you.’”
