England and Arsenal footballer Theo Walcott has announced he’s expecting his first child with his wife Melanie Slade.

“We are both very excited at such happy news just a few months after getting married," he said. “We are really looking forward to becoming parents.”
The Arsenal striker, who's 24, married Mel, his childhood sweetheart, in Italy in June, after they'd been together for 10 years.
Only one slight problem: sounds like the baby will arrive while his England-striker father is due to be in Brazil for the 2014 World Cup...
