It was tears at bedtime for Davina McCall as she read the final chapter of a moving storybook to her confused daughter, Holly, 11.

McCall took to Twitter to share her tale. "Just been sobbing as I read the last chapter of Dustbin Baby by@Jacky_Official to Holly. Holly thought I was mad!!!!"

Dustbin Baby, by popular novelist Jacqueline Wilson, is the emotional tale of troubled teenager, April.

After being abandoned in a rubbish bin as a newborn baby, fourteen years ago April finds happiness settled with foster mother, Marion. But there's a part of April that's desperate to know where she really came from, and who she really is. She just needs to remember her real mother and maybe even find her...

And so, the emotional tale brought McCall to a soggy end. Have you read Dustbin Baby, or seen the film version - did you shed a tear?
