Why did this babygrow sell for £30k?
Limited edition babygrow becomes a sought-after collector’s item
A babygrow has sold for a whopping £30,000 on eBay. The auction was for a limited edition Wondersuit from Australian brand Bonds. The zip-up babygrow has become a cult baby item down under – and limited editions of the £10 suits are often resold on eBay for £50-£150.
But the White Confetti Wondersuit broke records when it went for $60,100 – that’s over £30,000. "The confetti print was in our Christmas range last year and it sold out in a matter of days. Everyone loves it," Bonds marketing manager Emily Small told The Sunday Telegraph in Australia. "Everyone loves them," she added. “They are an iconic product and we welcome the demand.
"One sells every 3 minutes, so demand is high."
Surely not high enough to pay £30,000 though?! What do you think?
