Here is the full list of FAQs to help make entering the MadeForMums Awards 2019 as smooth and simple a process as possible…
Q) How do I know which category to enter?
A) Have a look at the list of categories. There may be several categories that suit the product you wish to enter. You may enter your product in more than 1 category or, if you only want to enter 1 category, please pick the one that seems the most appropriate.
Q) I can’t decide which category to enter. Can I talk to someone on the MadeForMums Awards team?
A) Yes, of course! We’re more than happy to discuss which category is right for your product. Please feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Q) How many categories can I enter in the MadeForMums Awards?
A) You can enter as many categories as you like and you can enter the same product into more than 1 category.
Q) How much does it cost to enter the awards?
A) The fee is £185 (plus VAT) per entry. If you make 3 entries, you will receive your 4th entry for free. You’ll also get a 10% discount on your 5th entry and a 20% discount on your 10th entry.
Q) How do I pay for my entries?
A) All entries must be paid for online, using our secure online payment form. We accept Maestro, Mastercard, Switch, Visa, Delta, Connect, Visa Debit or Visa Electron only. We’re afraid we cannot accept cheques. Please note that entries will not be considered until full payment has been made. If you have issues with this payment method, please get in touch at email@example.com to discuss alternatives.
Q) When is the closing date for entries?
A) Entries close on 19th October at 11:59pm.
Q) My product isn’t on sale yet. Can I still enter it?
A) All products entered into the MadeForMums Awards 2019 must be available to purchase in the UK on or before 1 January 2019. If your product is shortlisted, you must be able to supply your products to our head offce and to two different home testers. So, you will need to send three of your entry in total. This for judging, taking place in January. Your product cannot be considered for judging if requested samples are not sent.
Q) I’m having problems using the online entry form. Who should I contact?
A) Please contact the MadeForMums Awards Team at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’d be happy to help.
Q) Will I be told if my product is shortlisted?
A) Yes. This will happen in December 2018. In order for your product to be considered for judging, we will require you to send your products to our home testers and the MFM office.
Q) How many products will I be required to send if shortlisted?
A) We will request 4 products for each shortlisted product, depending on the category, except for buggies and car seats, where we will request 3. We’re sorry but your product cannot be considered for judging if requested products are not sent. Please note, we are not able to return any products.
Q) Will I need to send samples in? And if so, will I get them back?
A) We will request samples of all shortlisted products, the only exception being the following categories, which will require 3 samples to be sent (two to home testers and one to MFM head office):
- Newborn pushchair under £400
- Newborn pushchair over £400
- Travel system package under £500
- Travel system package over £500
- Lightweight buggy
- Convertible/double tandem buggy (single to double)
- All-terrain pushchair
- Most compact pushchair
- Pushchair accessory
- Infant/Group 0+ car seat
- Multistage/combination car seat
- Group 2/3 car seat
- iSize car seat
- Rear-facing for longer car seat
Your product cannot be considered for judging if requested samples are not sent. We’re sorry, but we cannot return any products.
Q) How will the awards be judged?
A) Entries will initially be shortlisted by an expert parenting panel. Then our teams of industry experts, parenting influencers, at-home parent testers and the MadeForMums Editorial team will judge all shortlisted products.
Q) What happens if I win?
A) If you are shortlisted or judged to be a winner in the MadeForMums Awards 2019, you will be given exclusive rights to the MadeForMums Awards 2019 accredited logo, which can be used for a range of marketing and packaging activity. All winners will also be featured in showcase editorial content on madeformums.com and supported by social-media promotion. For a full list of benefits, see the ‘Why enter?’ tab.
Q) When will I find out if I’ve won?
We will contact winners in March 2019 but there will be a short media embargo on this information. We will inform you of this and tell you the embargo date so that you know when you can share the good news.
Q) Can I get feedback about my entry?
A) We are able to supply feedback on request.
