As we reach the halfway point of 2018, we reckon it’s a good time to look over the baby names the mums in our MadeForMums Birth Clubs have been choosing ?
The official Office of National Statistics list takes so long to compile, we won’t see the most popular and trendy 2018 names for a long time – so which baby names are popular with mums in UK and Ireland RIGHT NOW?
Looking at the data we’ve compiled from our January, February, March and April 2018 Birth Clubs, we can already see some real 2018 naming trends emerging.
For baby girls, ‘E’ names and ‘I’ names are ever popular, and we’ve seen Willow pop up a few times, too. Whereas for boys, the classic name Billy seems to be making a comeback – and James appears to be a top middle name choice.
Surnames as first names seem to be super popular, too: just look at Mason, Cohen, Harrison and Cooper.
See what else our MFM mums have chosen to name their babies in 2018…
