15 Christmas gifts for mums-to-be

Spoil your pregnant partner, relative or friend this Christmas with these uniquely stylish (and useful) presents perfect for expectant mums...

1. The Growing A Baby Package, from £21.50

Why we love it: No 2 pregnant women are exactly the same – even though we’d guess that most are pretty tired and could do with a few luxuries and a bit of relaxing time.

So, being able to pick and choose which treats you want for the recipient, to make a well-priced hamper, is simply genius.

Choose from chocolate buttons, peppermint foot cream, tea, lipbalm, skincare, jewellery, YESMUM affirmation cards, sensory muslin squares… the list goes on – and get midwife Clemmie Hooper’s book How To Grow A Baby as standard.

Available from: Don’t Buy Her Flowers

2. Kate Spade Born To Be Pendant, £50

Why we love it: We love this gold pendant, which can carry the baby-to-be’s birth stone, as well as a small message. It’s also possible to personalise.

Available from: Kate Spade

3. Textured Super Soft Kimono Dressing Gown, £15

Why we love it: Available from sizes 8 – 22, this extremely cosy fleece dressing gown is also rather stylish. It’s nice and big, so plenty room for a growing bump, too. Comes in black, blush pink, coral red and ivory.

Available from: Marks & Spencer

4. ClevaMama Mum2Me Pod, £80.81

Why we love it: The Gold-winning pregnancy pillow at the 2018 MadeForMums Awards makes a lovely gift for your pregnant partner – especially if you KNOW they could use a support pillow, but refuse to splash out themselves.

The Mum2Me Pod is 100% cotton and a multi-way support pillow, which can help when sleeping on the side, all the while keeping mum-to-be’s body (esp bump and back) supported.

When baby is old enough, and they’re ready, your bub can use it as a bumper for underarm support while they enjoy some tummy time.

Available from: Amazon

5. Star Map, from £20

Why we love it: Remember the moment your partner told you she was expecting? Perhaps the day your adoption plans were approved? Capture the magic with a print of the stars from your location, at the date and time it happened, and hang it on your wall.

Available from: Poster Haste

6. Parenting The S*** Out Of Life Book, £18.99

Why we love it: For a mum-to-be who won’t be after a sentimental gift. This is more of a funny, self-deprecating and honest (NOT so rosy) view of what’s to come in the parenting world, written by Instagram influencers Mother and Papa Pukka.

Available from: Oliver Bonas

7. Charbonnel et Walker Hot Chocolate, £5.99

Why we love it: A pretty purse-friendly way to give such a luxurious gift. These French drinking chocolate flakes are perfect for a bit of holiday indulgence, ideal for mums-to-be who deserve to put their feet up and relax this Christmas.

Available from: Lakeland

8. Cowshed Knackered Cow Lavender Git Set, £20

Why we love it: Soothing lavender and eucalyptus vibes to relax any pregnant women who feel tired, stressed out – or maybe even a bit bunged up. We also like that it’s called Knackered Cow – make sure you give it someone who won’t be sensitive about the name ?

Comes with a floral print travel bag, one 100ml Bath & Shower Gel bottle, one 100ml Body Lotion bottle and a Lippy Cow lip balm.

Available from: Fabled by Marie Claire

9. Papier Hallmark Hardback Journal, £19.99

Why we love it: 96 pages of smooth lined paper in this beautiful marbled hardback journal, which mum-to-bes can use to keep a diary, document their pregnancy, make plans for the future – or simply have the odd freak out. Ahh!

The front can be personalised with a name, and there are plenty of hardback journal designs to choose from.

Available from: Papier

10. Copper Fox Ballerina Slippers, £20

Why we love it: Keep your partner’s feet foxy (but most importantly warm) in these ballet-style slippers, made with velvet and faux fur. We like that they’re not too restricting, as we all know how feet can swell and ache during pregnancy!

Available from: John Lewis

11. ASOS Maternity Preggers Slogan Tee, £14

Why we love it: Beyonce set the internet alight when she wore this, now it’s back in stock and perfect for a stylish, pregnant pal. Available in sizes UK 8 to 18.

Available from: ASOS

12. Links Of London Mini Belcher Bracelet and Mum-To-Be Charm, £80

Why we love it: This simple sterling silver charm bracelet comes in at £40, and is a thoughtful gift on its own. If you have the cash to spare, start the charm collection with the mum-to-be charm.

The £40 charm has 2 little tags saying ‘due on’ and ‘arrived on’ – as it’s pretty common that baby’s don’t arrive on their due dates! if you can get to the King’s Road store, you could even have the exact dates hand-engraved.

Available from: Links Of London (Bracelet) and Links Of London (Charm)

13. Fossil Hybrid Smart Watch – Neely Bone Leather, £69

Why we love it: Any mum will tell you how time runs away from you once the baby arrives! Start keeping track with this well-priced, stylish leather number.

Available from: Fossil

14. Space Masks Self-Heating Eye-Mask, Pack of 5, £15

Why we love it: We’ve tried these ourselves and we have to say they are super calming and relaxing, if not a bit sleep-inducing! Basically, they heat up naturally, and work wonders. One of our team says they especially helped ease her tired (and quite sore!) eyes.

We’d say these are a great gift for women nearing the end of their pregnancies, as the masks contain jasmine, and are best used after baby is born. With sleepless nights ahead, we reckon that’s when they’ll come in handiest, anyway…

P.S. These gorge masks also won a Junior Design Award 2018.

Available from:  Feel Unique

15. Lush Knot Wrap, from £3.95

Why we love it: These handy 47 x 47cm wraps, which range in price from just under £4 to £25, are SO versatile.

They’re environmentally-friendly, reusable, durable and have a multitude of purposes: head scarf or wrap, hair tie, mini scarf suitcase tag, handbag accessory, makeshift brolly, makeshift carrier bag, sun shade – even recyclable wrapping paper (as inspired by the art of ‘furoshiki’).

So many brilliantly colourful and cool designs to choose from – even actual, working city maps for London, Amsterdam, Tokyo and beyond.

Available from: Lush
