The Cybex Click & Fold 4-in-1 highchair is a fully adaptable seating system designed to support your child from the newborn stage through to childhood. It includes a bouncer with adjustable recline, a highchair with a baby set, safety harness and removable weaning tray, a chair mode with adjustable footrest for children aged three and up, and a desk-chair option – covering the key early stages in one adaptable design.
A premium highchair that reflects Cybex’s signature build quality, it also features a one-click folding mechanism that makes it genuinely space-saving for families short on storage space.
Priced at £369.95, it sits firmly in the premium highchair category alongside long-lasting wooden designs such as the Bugaboo Giraffe (£369 for ultimate bundle) and the Stokke Tripp Trapp (£361 for highchair with newborn set), Like those models, it’s designed to grow with your child over several years — but adds a one-click folding mechanism that makes it a more space-saving option for families short on storage space.

How easy was the Click & Fold to set up?
The Cybex Click and Fold highchair was simple to put together straight out of the box. There were a few separate parts to assemble, but not so many that it felt overwhelming – even for those who are averse to anything flat pack!
The instructions offer a series of step-by-step illustrations which are clear and simple to follow. They show close-ups where needed, and all the necessary details to set the chair up with ease. There is also a QR code which links to an online video tutorial if you need additional guidance.
The highchair immediately felt robust and safe once set up. There were no wobbles or loose parts, which is very reassuring for something you rely on daily for your baby.

How useful is the newborn bouncer mode?
Once set up, it was easy to add the bouncer to the highchair, and recline for first use. However, we started testing the chair when my baby was 4.5 months, and at this age they already felt too big for this mode. It’s worth noting my baby was between the 75th and 90th percentile, so this may not be the case for all babies this age. However, the straps were unusually difficult to get baby in and had to be undone every time, which was a task and a half. It all felt more difficult than needed.
At the stage we started using the seat in bouncer mode, my baby had already outgrown being reclined too, and just wanted to sit up and see the world. So while this set-up didn't work for us, I do think if I had used this from the newborn stage, or just after, it would have been a great way to keep baby at table height during family mealtimes. While the straps did feel difficult to undo, they were pretty foolproof and supportive, so there's no doubt baby would be safe in this position.
We tested it for short periods when we were having dinner as a family, which meant we could eat with both hands free. As much as I've mastered one-handed eating, it's definitely a bonus to have a place you can comfortably put your baby at table height, sitting alongside everyone else.
How easy is the Cybex Click & Fold to use in highchair mode for weaning?
The Click & Fold highchair provided everything we needed to begin weaning.
Switching from bouncer to highchair mode took less than a minute. You remove the bouncer by pressing two buttons simultaneously, then use the Allen key to remove the attached adaptors before clipping the baby set into place — easy as pie.
Once seated, my baby sat upright and securely, with no awkward leg holes to manoeuvre around, and I felt confident they were comfortable and supported. The tray was a good size and supportive for early weaning, although I would have liked a slightly higher lip to stop more food being swiped onto the floor.
The tray itself was very straightforward to attach and remove — I could even do this with one hand, with baby on my hip in the other.

How well does the Click & Fold adapt as your child grows?
It’s very easy to adjust the Cybex highchair in child mode. You use the Allen key to loosen the chair, and then adjust the footrest to the required height — a simple process that only needs minimal tools.
The design feels genuinely versatile as your child grows. Older children can sit comfortably at the dinner table without needing a booster seat until they grow into a standard chair, extending its lifespan well beyond the weaning stage.
Because it adapts through multiple stages rather than needing to be replaced, it also feels like a more sustainable long-term choice.
How comfortable and stable is it for older children?
When converted to chair mode, it’s a nice supportive set up for older children. The seat is entirely flat rather than ergonomically shaped, though my child didn’t seem to mind this.
We tested this alongside the chaos of weaning my baby, so it was mainly used at the dining table for dinners rather than as a desk chair or for longer activities.
It felt very stable and grounded, with no wobbling, and I felt confident it wouldn’t tip over when my child climbed on and off independently.
How easy is it to use day-to-day?
We primarily used this in the baby mode for my baby before and during weaning. While I used it for my bigger child to test, I wouldn't routinely switch it between different kids, as it's easier to keep it set up in a specific mode rather than flip between two.

Is it easy to store and move around the house?
We didn't use the folding functionality much as we have enough space for the chair to be at the table day to day, but the one-click fold would be useful for families who are tight on space, or who want to put it away between uses.
It's also relatively lightweight for a highchair and is easy to move about for cleaning or repositioning between rooms. I only used it in the kitchen, though, as for me its primary function was for weaning baby - and that is a mess that I'm happy to contain to one room only!

How easy is it to wipe down after meals?
The highchair is really easy to clean after each use. I loved how simple it was to unclip the tray and clean it in the sink — it made cleaning the Weetabix mess — aka dry cement — a breeze, and food mess wiped down easily.
The tray didn't stain at all and withstood vibrant tomato sauces and more, without leaving a trace. The straps were easy to clean, too.
I removed the fabrics because we got quite a large amount of avocado ingrained at one point, and popped them in the wash. The stains came out, no bother. However, I would say generally that cream isn't the most forgiving of choices for a weaning baby who likes to smash food into every nook and cranny, so some parents may want to consider the darker options!
Does it feel premium and long-lasting?
The materials all felt very good quality and built to withstand the knocks, bangs and scrapes of early childhood. Everything felt sturdy, safe and protective. I felt confident having my baby sit within this chair.
Does it look good in your home environment?
The design of this highchair is lovely and would look at home in most kitchens. It’s neutral and unobtrusive, which means it can fit in with most aesthetics. The fact that there are multiple colourways for this product is a bonus too.

How does it compare to highchairs that you have used previously?
I have a similar chair to this that I used for my first child, who is now five. It is a wooden highchair that transitioned to a child seat — a more budget version of the Stokke Tripp Trapp. We still use this as a child seat now, five years down the line. The functionality is similar overall, but I would say the Cybex offers more bells and whistles, with its fold-up functionality and included newborn bouncer. It was easier to assemble, too. And crucially, I do find the material far easier to clean and maintain.
Is it worth the money?
As a long-term investment, I do think the Cybex highchair makes a lot of sense as a long-term purchase.
If you buy the newborn attachment and use this from the get-go and throughout childhood, you'll really get your money's worth. I can imagine that when we've escaped the weaning stages, which require a baby seat and tray, we’ll transition this to a seat and continue to use it as my child grows. With this in place, I doubt I’ll need to buy any other chairs or accessories for my child.
Where can I buy the Cybex Click & Fold highchair?
It is available from Cybex, Boots, John Lewis and Natural Baby Shower

MadeForMums verdict:
The Cybex Click & Fold 4-in-1 really does tick most of the boxes if you’re after a highchair that’ll see you through years, not months. It’s simple to set up, genuinely easy to clean, and feels sturdy enough to trust from the get-go. Plus, the compact fold is a clever little bonus if you’re tight on space.
Where it falls slightly is value for money – the quality is clear, but the price sits firmly at the premium end, and the paler colourways won’t thank you during weaning. That said, if you plan to use it from the newborn stage onwards, it feels more like a long-term investment than a short-term buy. It’s stylish, durable and grows with your child in a way that actually makes sense. For families who want one chair that does the lot (and does it well), it’s a strong contender.
