Annabel Karmel launches colourful mini-baking sets for little chefs
Perfect for children from 3 years up to make and bake together - although they probably won't do the washing up
When you're constantly in the kitchen, creating a variety of meals throughout the week, it's nice to have a companion. OK, if they're a little companion, it's going to get messy. But it can also be fun, plus you just might get them interested in cooking.
That's the plan from family chef and cookery book author Annabel Karmel. She hopes her new mini baking sets will inspire children to roll up their sleeves, get involved in the kitchen and fall in love with the magic of cooking.
“Cooking is an essential life skill; not only will children witness the magic of turning raw ingredients into lunch, dinner, and special treats, it also nurtures a natural curiosity about how food grows and where it comes from,” says Annabel.
The candy-coloured cooking kits include alphabet cookie cutters, a mini cupcake set and ice lolly moulds. Available from Tesco, the sets ranges from £2.50 - £10, which make them perfect for a fun summer activity that can be enjoyed over and over again, whatever the weather - without breaking the bank.
And to balance the sugary delights of cookies, cupcakes and ice lollies, the mini-baking kits also include more of Annabel’s favourite recipes with easy-to-follow cooking instructions.
