    Hi ladies

My hubbie is in bed and i really need someone to talk to.

From 4 weeks my little man developed excema. I posted a thread on this a while ago because he was so itchy and i just didn't know what to do as everything we tried didn't work. It was so bad and one pont, his skin was blistered and weaping. We have been using Pampers nappies since he was born although we did use Huggies nappies at one point as we found Pampers sometimes leaked. Anyway now that Pampers have changed their nappies to a 'new style' we have gone back to Huggies. Last night I put one one him as i don't trust Pampers to keep him dry during the night and this morning its like we have a different baby!!!His skin is so much better, not as red and no where near as itchy. I changed his nappy this morning, he just let me get on with it instead of constantly itching and pulling at his skin.

Honestly I feel like we have all been to hell and back ever since he first developed his problem when now it seems to be his nappy didn't agree with him!! I know its only one night we tried the Huggies but things are so different this morning, its like a little angel visited him in the night and took away his itch!! I feel incredibly guilty also because if we had just changed his nappy then we could have stopped his suffering ages ago.

He has an appointment with a dermatologist in June and I'm really hoping he won't have to go. I really want to wake up my hubby and just have a cry!! It must have been some sort of chemical in the nappy possibly that has reacted with his skin.

Its early days but i would suggest to anyone who still uses Pampers and their baby has excema to try a change of nappy, you never know it might just work.

    Thanks for reading

From a very happy mummy (for now!!)

Thats great news. I use a range of nappies, but would love it if I found that the nappy I was using was making my baby boy so itchy as then I could do something about it!! Dont feel bad...you didnt know, and now you do, you can try and do something about it! Havent got our Dermatologist appointment yet, but have the referral! (YAY) Its only taken 6 months! xxx

I had the same problem with my son when he was a baby (he is 4 now) and I managed to work out it was pampers causing him problems.

I wrote to pampers who basicaly said there nappies are tested bla bla bla and gave me bloody vouchers! As if I would put my baby bk in them!

Glad u have solved ur problem and hopefully ur little one will be more comfy now x
