We are at my mums for christmas so I don't buy much, usually I get in a bottle of Baileys and some mince pies as thats a MUST at Christmas.. espcially as they have choc baileys out this year. I need to look actually to see if Baileys is on offer anywhere yet.
23/11/2013 at 19:53
Oooh. I do love a baileys
23/11/2013 at 19:55
Not a lot really, some Advocaat for snowballs usually and I make mince pies. Maybe some crisps to go with turkey sandwiches and some chocolates but that's about it.

Thats what christmas is for Cp!
Was planning on having a 'good' dieting day today but then me and my mum spied the mince pies in the tesco cafe , and it would be rude not to. T'was lovely with my latte.

That's more along the lines I was thinking CP! I said I'm just going to eat party food for the 2 weeks
23/11/2013 at 20:21
Oh cp that sounds great!!!! I buy crisps and dip and maybe some chocolates. Not bought yet as we scoff before! As today proves.. Was in aldi and put 1 pack of "Pringles" in just to see if they taste the same...and yes they pretty much do! That'll be why we buy closer to the day. Think ill bring out your list cp when I do go!

Were at family over Christmas but snacks you should always have at christmas are; after eights, Pringles, crisps, mince pies, chestnuts, satsumas, cheese board, nice chutneys and crackers, boiled ham for Boxing Day and lots of chocolates!

This year I'll be buying lots of blue and smelly cheese as I couldn't eat it last year x

H loves those mini cheddar tubes, Cadbury chocolate fingers, salmon from a can, open on white finger rolls! Breadsticks and garlic dips, mince pies, pork pies with pickle inside, pickle onion, nuts and lots of crisps. Chocolates, and this week had some amazing m&s cookies so next week I'll pop and get some of those. Yule log too! And sausage rolls! H also loves boiled egg with middle mashed with salad cream, put back on and scoff. Plus obviously the cracker and cheese selections! We're only at home until 27th.. ha

We buy too much every year and then don't get round to eating it. This year I think I'll stick to cheese, crackers and chutneys. Mr cv will want nuts and crisps but he has those every night at the moment anyway (snacks as he stays up late to do late feed).. Trying to decide what sweet stuff; it's tempting to go fancy but you can't beat roses and lindor! Will maybe get something festive like stollen or panettone as well. Always get baileys for coffees!
Oh, mixed pickles...it isn't Christmas without those!

We are at ILs on Christmas Day then at my mums from 28th till 2nd prob, so nit bought a lot.
Ive got tin of quality street, tin of roses, matchsticks, chocs for the tree, will make mince pies, Christmas cake is made just needs iced, will get party food from Iceland if stepson is coming to us on Boxing Day so family can come over and see him open his presents etc. other than that will likely get crisps and dips, maybe a few cheeses but that's normal anyway! Oh and will buy some non alcoholic mulled wine, and mum makes ginger wine (again its not alcoholic) so I'll get some of that from her. Think that's it unless H wants something in particular but he's not a foody person, happy as long as there's beers in the fridge!

I feel a bit bad reading this, we don't really have any extras over Christmas, if we are are homeand have family over I will make mince pies, maybe have extra crisps in, maybe some biccies. I suppose being a weight watcher for years I try to avoid all the snacks. Our families tend to go overboard on the cheese, crisps, chocolates and end up palming it off on us!

Pork, pork and more pork items. So much cheaper, tastier and better selection. The things that make us happy!
CP, great list :)
