    Hi all

Following confirmation that I have PCOS and being prescribe metformin to help, I am now booked in to the hospital on Friday for a Hysterosalpingogram. My doctor referred me just to double check there are no other issues we need to worry about - so more of a double check I guess.

Have many of you had this proceedure before? Any advice on what to expect?

Quite excited in a way to know I can tick something off the list that is working 'ok' but a but 'eeeekkk' at the same time - not knowing too much about it.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I had hsg in May, mine took about 45 mins - apparently had an awkward cervix???!!!!! I would recommend taking some ibuprofen just before you go in, it is a bit painful when they inject the dye - just like really bad period pains. I think I was just unlucky but felt sore and bled a bit for the rest of the day. Having said that the next day all was forgotten so its just a neccessary evil and I know many ladies on here had no problems at all!

    Good luck xx
