Hi ladies. Hope someone will be able to help me. I'm 9+3 and have started to feel the odd cramp and niggle. It's not as bad as a period pain and not painful but enough for me to feel it for a few seconds. Spoke to a midwife and she said I will be feeling all sorts of these kinds of niggles as it is my first baby and my baby and my body has a lot of stretching and adjusting to do.

Has anyone else had these through their pregnancy and how long do they last?

Hi, sounds completly normal. I have had them and they definantly seemed more pronouced from about 9 weeks to 11 weeks. I'm now 13+3 and although I still get them they arent as frequent.

Its just where everything is stretching around, try not to worry.

I'm having them at the moment and keep trying to see them as positive signs - it means that everything is growing and accommodating the pregnancy.

I found a warm bath helps when it is really sore. I know its hard not to worry but try to stay positive - its just your body doing what it needs to do.

    Hi

I am now 15 weeks pregnant (first baby) and i am still getting all sorts of cramps and niggles. I think i am driving my partner crazy as every time it happens i panic there is something wrong! But looking at all these replies i am guessing it is nothing to worry about? Anyone know when it should start feeling better? I was hoping i would be starting to 'bloom', but all i have so far is a bump, slightly wider bottom (lol), dry skin and crazy hair and i am still feeling rubbish, so tired all the time and still quite sick, headaches have been getting in on the act too!

Any advice and tips is most appreciated, as this is my first baby, and no one in my friendship group has started having kids, i have no one to talk all this through with. xxx

yep i got them from day one, infact thought they were period pains at the time, oh how wrong i was lol, i still get them now but they are less like period pains now, more sharp little twinges, i expect that they'll be here for the forseeable, and probably won't be niggle free until well after baby is here and this is also my first pregnancy

oh and rainbow85, i too am still waiting for that second trimester glow, has'nt appeared yet tho, my skin is dry and also very spotty, i feel tired pretty much 70% of the time lol, and unlike u nothing to show for it yet, no bump just extra flab lol. but i think i did get away lightly in the first trimester as as of yet i've had no sickness, but definately heve had those headaches

    xx

mines on the 15th, i havent been to the thomas linacre centre before, with my daughter i had all my scans at billinge, then it closed and i had her at wigan. The new ward at wigan was nice but its not the same as billinge, its sad!

you will have to post your scan pic when you get it and i will do the same!

you never know we could be having our babies around the same time, we might see each other in hospital!!

How exciting. You'll have to let me know how you get on. My mum works on the pre op ward at TLC so have only ever been there. Very excited about my visit to suite 4 in 19 days time!!
