i am 23 weeks pregnant and went out for dinner at restaurant, starters wasn't much choice for pregnant lady but I chose Caesar salad, first time I ever had it and thought it was just chicken with salad and a dressing, I did ask for it to come without Parmesan cheese. Was good but only ate half a small plate. Now for some reason I looked on Google when I got home to see if ok to eat but some sites say no as raw eggs in the salad dressing but some mums said they ate and they are fine.
This is my first child and I am super worried, the wee one has been moving and kicking as normal, what signs should I look out for if there is something wrong with the wee one and should I do anything?
Has anyone ate Ceasar Salad while pregnant?
Thanks for listening :)

Hi Cazmci. And congrats on your pregnancy!
Sorry to hear you're so worried about this. Pregnancy seems to be filled with moments of worry sometimes, doesn't it?
OK, so about Caesar salad: the classic way to make it does call for raw eggs, although some restaurants may not make it this way.
Raw egg has been off-limits for pregnant women for several years now because it was thought that some eggs could carry salmonella (which can cause food poisoning, and, therefore, make you so ill, your baby might be affected).
However, the UK Advisory Committee on the Microbiological Safety of Food has recently said that pregnant women can safely eat raw, runny or soft-boiled eggs that are stamped with the British Lion mark – because eggs stamped with this mark are now thought to be very unlikely to be carrying salmonella. You can read more about all this in our article here.
So, basically, it's quite likely the raw egg in your Caesar-salad dressing (if there was any raw egg) was pretty safe to eat (although you don't know for sure that the restaurant was using British Lion-stamped eggs, and next time, it's definitely worth asking if you can). Also, if you're not being sick and vomiting or showing any other signs of food poisoning, it sounds like all is fine.
Hope that helps. Wishing you all the best with the rest of your pregnancy.

Honestly I would say they probably used a bottled salad dressing anyway - I doubt they made it themselves, its confusing time - all this you can / can't eat this and that but really try not to worry , you clearly make sensible choices , try to relax - xxxx
