I didn't do nct antenatal classes, just the nhs ones and have never had anything to do with nct so I don't know how it works.
ive just googled and my local one says it has x number of members. Do you have to be a member for anything to do with them like go to nearly new sales or breast feeding drop ins etc. I'm wondering because im interested in their sling library but can I not just go along and borrow one, will I have to join up as a member and if so how much is it and what benefits is there to being a member?

At ours I think membership just gets you in early to the sales and obv your membership fee supports their work. Afaik to use the sling library or go to a coffee morning you wouldn't need to be a member.

What everyone ele said. Membership entitles you to early entry to nearly new sales, and you get a couple of newsletters, but that's pretty much it. You'll be very welcome to all nct groups without being a member I'm sure, sling library included. :-)

I've emailed them to get info about the sling library. Do they help advise you on what they think might work best for your needs or it is it just a case of telling them which one you want to hire and trying a few out ?

Our sling library isn't nct run, but I'd assume they work similarly. You should be able to try out a few whilst you're there, and get an idea of what might suit you, they should be able to give good advice on what you might want too, as well as how to put it on etc. have fun!
