on the back of MissDeeDees post (hello lovely!) and realising how little I've visited MD in recent months, wondered if an intros / updates thread would be a good idea. I'm so out of touch with how everyone is, and it might encourage any lurkers (are there any?) to jump in as the waters lovely....
so, I'm Mrs Penguin, an old bird from Yorkshire. I started TTC in January 2012 and after clomid I got my longed for BFP in May 2013. I had a great pregnancy (thanks to the support of boards like this) and 15 days after his due date E was born in Jan 2014. It's been a difficult 6 months, oral thrush, shallow latch and a tongue tie made breastfeeding a very hard task, but we got there in the end. Silent reflux, dairy & soy intolerances have also taken their toll, but the corner has or is being turned and I have a very very happy, giggly human dustbin who now sleeps well at night.
he shows no interest in rolling, is desperate to be on his feet and is babbling away with the baa baa baas (was almost a mama yesterday but don't think maba counts).
so, looking forward to catching up or getting to know you. Over to you x

Hi! I'm Furmummy! I am 30 on Monday and also live in Yorkshire. I originally joined mumdrum back in early 2013. Following 2 miscarriages we went down the adoption route due to my health problems got right to the end where social services put a hault on placement due to our age. That process is due to begin again in January.....however I got a BFP in May and have my 12 week scan on Monday. We have seen bean at 7 weeks and 10 weeks and by some miracle all is looking good!

Congratulations Furmummy! Wishing you a smooth 6 months and hope all goes well at the scan on Monday x

I'm DumbleSpud, a 32 year old ICT teacher from Essex. I've been married for 4 years and have O, who's 3.5 years, and L, who's 19 months tomorrow. I'm currently 21 weeks pregnant with #3, a girl, who is due in December.

Great idea...I love these threads! I'm Coco, I'm 30 and live in Essex with my husband of almost 4 years and our 28 month old son O. The madhouse shall be getting a new addition in the next few weeks...I'm currently 37+6 with #2. We didn't find out the gender, so I'm now itching to find out whether O is getting a little brother or sister! This is likely to be us done short of a lottery win! I had a very rapid labour with O so a bit worried about this one now...

I'm something of a lurker these days, now I no longer have a tri thread to frequent! Firstly, massive congrats again to furmummy, such a great story and good luck on Monday!
I'm Wispa.. Well, actually, Wispa is my labradoodle, but as she was my first baby I thought I'd use her name! Im Canadian and I work in heritage/museum education. I got married last June and had Isla this past June, just 2 days after my 30th birthday. I watch a lot of tv aimed at teen girls since having her, it's becoming a bit of a problem! We are relocating to Paris in the autumn, which scares the eff out of me!

I'm RKB, 28 and from the back of beyond near Glasgow. Married for 2 years and 7 months, started ttc in July 2012 and conceived W in the August. He arrived 13 days post due date after an induced labour leading to a c section weighing in at 10lb4oz. He is the most amazing boy, sweet natured, good sleeper, even better eater, which meant I didn't have much to contribute to those threads with problem sleepers and feeders
We've now decided to try for number 2 and this will be our first cycle of officially trying!

Hello everyone! Nice to see you all.
I'm imp or mrs imp, I'm 34 and I live in manchester. I got married in June 2012 she used hitched during my wedding planning, I still frequent the otter board wheb I get chance.
We lost two babies in 2013, one at 12 weeks and one 17 weeks. Looking back I've no idea how we got through it really, mr imp and the friends I made on these boards- that's bloody how. And that's one if the reasons I'm sad to see these boards dying, without the forum support I honestly don't know I'd have coped. I'd hate to think that support wasn't there for others.
Anyway, I'm rambling!
So, on the 12th of July this year O arrived in our lives. He's the most gorgeous little boy ever, not that I'm biased. He's lying in my arms just now refusing to go back in his crib, but I'm enjoying the cuddles so who bloody cares?!
He really is our perfect little happy ending. I feel like I've known him forever.

I'm SASASI, from Northern Ireland & I also turn 30 next week. Been married for 3 yrs to a very sweet kind natured man who has been my rock through a TTC journey of 2yrs & a cancer diagnosis end of last year. We discovered our bfp the same month I undergone surgery for the cancer (2wks after an HSG) and it just made everything right again & gave life a purpose in a dark time - we are so so thankful.
Pregnancy hasn't been the easiest but I remind myself everyday how lucky we are - was physically sick until,18 wks, nausea finally left at 22wks & carpel tunnel set in at 24/25wks resulting in me being signed off work since wk 28. But the baby is always fine which is the main thing. The placenta needs tested after birth to check cancer didn't spread across which is a very scary thought but until he/she arrives nothing can be done.
Due to anxiety issues I am looking at an elective c-section, will have everything confirmed on Monday. I still havnt packed my hospital bag, I am trying to induce early labour & then I just have to roll with it haha!!
Looking forward to seeing who else joins in :)

Hello!!! Sooo glad to see you Mrs P!
I'm MissDeeDee, I'm 31 and stay on the east coast of Scotland. I was on WP (with dumble!) before our wedding in April 2010 and then lurked around BT before officially TTC in sept 2012. We got a bfp at the end on feb 2013 which sadly ended in a MMC but I was so so lucky to fall pregnant again directly after my ERPC and my Jan 14 due baby boy arrived a full month early in dec 13.
Another one who had a rocky start with a severely windy/colicky baby which made the first few months very difficult but we then found out he has cmpi and since discovered it's he's both dairy and soya intolerant so things have been a lot easier recently, albeit weaning is a bit more restrictive.
He's 34weeks today, is just about rolling right out the room, also desperate to stand (well jump) and will take any opportunity to get on his feet. He's started trying to crawl and I've also seen an attempt at a bum shuffle when he's sitting on the floor so I think he'll be off very soon!
I go back to work in exactly a month and have a mix of feelings of dread and actually quite looking forward to seeing people and having something else 'to do'!!

Hi everyone I'm a MrsL from surrey. I'm 28 and my H is 30 later this year. We've been together for 11 years and married for 2 years this month. This is our first baby and we are expecting a boy. Very excited and still slightly overwhelmed that it's happening at 27 weeks pregnant.

Hi I'm caldini. I'm 30 and live in Berkshire. Got married in May 2012 and we had our little boy in a May 2013. He is now 14.5 months and really enjoying dashing about the place now he has started to walk. I am a stay at home mum at the moment. I came to MD via hitched but was always a lurker there and I am a bit of a lurker on here too despite best intentions.

Hi, im chocolate orange, im 29 and am from Kent. My h and I have been married for 2 years and we had our little girl M almost 3 weeks ago :) I joined mumdrum after having a TOP for medical reasons in Aug 2012 when we began ttc soon after and i found this place a fantastic source of support through such a dark time in my life. Life now couldn't be better as we have our beautiful baby girl who is just amazing, breastfeeding is going really well and although she totally has day and night round the wrong way I wouldn't change her for the world. I was a bit hit and miss with posting on here during the pregnancy but im going to try and make more of an effort x

Hi I'm Rio. I have been married a year, although we have been together over a decade. I am 29. And I am 20 weeks pregnant with our little boy. I live in Surrey. I used to be on Hitched as LilMissBusyBride. Trying to think of something interesting about me and nothing comes to mind haha!

Hi ladies, I'm Woowoo and live in Yorkshire (happy Yorkshire day to everyone else from Yorkshire!). My husband and I are both 31 and have been together just over 6 years, and were married in Oct 2013. We've been TTC since getting back off the honeymoon in November and after starting to wonder if there were issues, I got my BFP last week when I went for a routine smear test! Not quite how I anticipated finding out but over the moon to be pregnant. I'm now about 5 1/2 weeks pregnant and finding this board so useful as I'm totally clueless on all things pregnancy and babies!

I'm Rod. I'm 28 (nearly 29) and married for almost 3 years to Mr Rod. He has 2 children who spend every other weekend with us. I also have a furbaby, my little cat Maggie who I adore, even though she is a cow! I am also on Hitched and first joined Baby Talk over there when we started TTC 2 years ago in August/September 2012.
I fell pregnant after 4 months in Jan 20113 and after a smooth 12 weeks went to our scan in March, only to be told there was a sac but no baby. Otherwise known as Blighted Ovum. The worst bit about this (apart from all our hopes and dreams being completely shattered) was going round telling people, as we'd had no issues, we'd told pretty much our whole families, including my 2 step children. I had an ERPC, picked myself up (after a little while on the floor) and we tried again.
This time it took a bit longer, 8 months later I was starting to wonder whether it would ever happen again. We decided to really try. OPKs, timed DTD etc and hey presto, BFP in November. Sadly just a week after getting it, I started to spot and a week later I suffered a miscarriage at 6 weeks on 1st December 2013.
Sadly, it happened again a few months later, in March 2014 I got another BFP. We were so positive about this time, surely it couldn't happen again? However, a week after the BFP, 1 year to the day we found out about the first baby being gone, I started bleeding. Miscarriage at 5 weeks.
Finally (!) we were at lucky number 3 and my doctor referred me to a recurrent miscarriage consultant. He was great, we both really liked him and he immediately started me on low dose aspirin and progesterone supplements from ovulation until AF/BFP.
2 months after starting this, in June 2014, I woke up one morning and I just knew. I POAS, 9dpo and had our fourth BFP! I remained neutral about it as long as possible, getting past the 5 weeks, then 6 week mark with baited breath. A scan at 6+4 showed a tiny bean with a flickering heartbeat. I cannot describe the relief that flooded through my body at that moment! We had another scan 2 weeks later and saw our little bean had progressed to a baby! With a head, body, arms and legs, all wriggling away and waving at us.
I'm now 10+5 and have our final EPU scan next Friday when I will be almost 12 weeks. I am utterly terrified all the time but attempting to remain positive and not over analyse whether I feel sick or not, if my boobs hurt, or if that was a cramp or not. (I'm not very good at this!)
I am hoping and praying that in February 2015 we get our miracle, finally.
I couldn't have got through without the support of people I have met here and on Hitched. Honestly, I think I would have broken. So thank you everyone who has been there, virtually hugged me, sent me cards, cheered me on and generally been awesome. You're the best xxxx

Great idea & lovely to 'meet' everyone!
Hi, I'm tayto (aka Claire), I'm 32 and I'm from Ireland, currently living in Oxfordshire - I moved here in late 2011. H and I met in our last month of Uni back in '03 and got married on our (almost) ten anniversary last year. We decided to wait a while after getting married to TTC so we concentrated on our new home for most of last year. I'm currently recovering from a skiing accident that resulted in me needing an ACL replacement on my knee which put TTC off a few months. We're now into our third cycle of TTC and I'm loving being on this forum and really don't want to see it go...!

Hi everyone. Its lovely to hear about you all, especially those that have received great support from the forum after extremely difficult times.
I'm bunny, 30 years old from Hertfordshire. Been with h for almost 11 years, married for 4. Started TTC November 2012 and were extremely lucky to fall pregnant straight away. Pregnancy was a dream and we had a little girl k in July. Unfortunately she had Patau's syndrome also known as trisomy 13. This was diagnosed when she was 10 days old after genetics tests. We were told she was palliative care only and she probably wouldn't live beyond a month. Well she gave us 4 and a half wonderful months before passing away in December 2 weeks before Christmas. We had many discussions about TTC when k was with us and we decided that we loved having k too much to wait a while so here I am at 29 weeks pregnant with number 2. So far so good with this pregnancy too but I'm just waiting until due date and starting to get impatient!
