I am a vegetarian and have been craving meat! I think it could be due to the extra iron that my body requires so i have started to take pregnacare! We'll see how it goes and update =)

i was taking pregnacare and i was so sick, i was taking it straight after a meal so my stomach was full, as it says to take with a meal. after a week of taking them i was so sick and generally unwell, i put it down to morning sickness etc and carried on taking it however i decided to eliminate it from my daily routine and took just folic acid instead and my sickness slowly got better, after seeing my midwife she recommended to take pregnacare so i went back on it thinking that it must be a co-incidence, i then suffered the most awful migraines along with heaving down the toilet all day for a good 9 days, i went to the dr's etc i decided to come off the pregnacare again and the migraines have subsided and i'm starting to feel human for the first time in my pregnancy, i'm 15 weeks now and i'm taking vit d instead for now, until i see my midwife again next week and tell her my story. lets see what she says.... basically i personally think that there is way too much iron in those tablets, if you are on a healthy balanced diet anyway, why do you need so many more vitamins, you're basically overdosing! if we had to take them they would be issued out on the NHS if it was so important!

Hi iv been takeing pregnacare original since i foundout was pregnant with my breakfast as it says take with your main meal but i just remember it better then and im now 32 week and had no problems with them as they say you need vitamin d thats the only reason i take them. This is my second baby and that infomation wasnt out then so i just had folic acid then and had to ave iron but havent had to have anything this time. So try the original ones iv been fine with them!!

i started taking pregnacare conception last month during my peroid and i noticed that my body itches me a lot. at first i didnt know it was whats causing it until i skipped the drugs for 2 days. now my period is out and am wondering, whats the hopla? but my cousin said she took pregnacare original throughout and was fine, she has a healthy baby girl. my sister tried the pregnacare abd now has twins!! so i guess its working. i just wish it will stop itching me so much.

I had to stop taking it as I was waking in the night with pains too. Even taking it with food hadn't helped. I have a hisory of anaemia and cannot tolerate iron (I have to have injections). It is the iron content that was upseting me so I stopped taking it. I just took folic acid for the first 3 months and now I am trying to manage through diet. FC the doc will say my latest bloods are ok x

hello i just read all the comments about how pregnacare was a huge source of discomfort and all your comments actually comforted me coz i thought there was seriously something wrong as the moment i took them i used to get tremedous pain right at the beginning of my belly under my chest and it would last for 10 mins and i seriously felt i was going to die . it made me throw up as well , it just a very very heavy vitamin i dunno why it has been approved . it even made me awake all night .

Hi all I have just started taking pregnacare while on my pill, I have been having really bad stomach pains and had the runs!!! Also found blood and I'm only on day 6 of my pill? It's a bit worrying?! Should I stop taking it? I have it after my breakfast every morning! Me and and my partner would like to start trying towards the end of the year, just trying to prepare my body! What do I do? X

I thought I had the worst pregnancy sickness. I was really tired and nauseous and was always sick after dinner. Turned out to be these tablets. I'm now just taking Folic Acid and feel absolutely fine and haven't been sick once since I stopped Pregnacare.

I was taking pregnacare up to 6 weeks but when my morning sickness started I switched to flogic acid and vitamin d as they were easier to take. did that with my anti sickness till 8 or 9 weeks and then stopped everything as taking tablets is making me sick. I can't even think about it now without my throat closing up. Decided to just control myself through diet.
