As the title says really, does anyone or has anyone taken Pregnacare TTC? Is it worth taking that rather than just folic acid or are there any other vitamins or supplements I should take? Is there anything I can take to get my cycles back to being slightly longer?
Sorry for all the questions!
Thanks in advance :-)

I'm not taking anything, not even folic, I keep forgetting :-(

I took it, I liked the fact that it had folic acid and a whole bunch of other vitamins.

I always took a normal multi vitamin so as soon as we started ttc I just swapped onto the pregnacare conception one, it has good high levels of vitamin b ( which helped my pms and the b6 helps with luteal lengths and can increase cycle length) and it contained folic acid so saved taking that. As soon as I got my bfp I swapped onto a pregnancy multi vit and intend to take that all the way through my pregnancy.

Pregnacare made me put on half a stone in the one month that I was taking it. It also gave me terrible cramps throughout the 2ww, which it extended from 10 days to 18 days.
B6 is a vitamin which extends your LP (2ww). I took 100mg for two months. It gave me a couple of extra days per cycle but made my arm go numb and tingly after the 2 months. I know you can get it in smaller doses too though.
I now take just folic acid.

Do you have any idea why you had the side effects Figaro?
Has anyone else who hast taken it get any side effects?
pinkpanther that sounds good that it helped your pms, I could do with a slightly longer cycle so it might be good for me thank you.

Folic acid only here. I took pregnancy vitamins once I had my BFP.

Yep! I'm on pregnacare since we started to TTC again . I think it can't hurt and if I get a BFP I've been getting my folic acid

If you google pregnacare reviews there are lots of ladies who have had similar side effects to me. There are also lots of ladies who swear it helped them get pregnant after months and months of trying. Just one of those things I guess. Can't harm to try to see how you get on.
B6 comes with a warning that 'prolonged use' can cause some tingling. It doesn't specify what it classes as prolonged use, nor does it say where to expect the tingling. When my arm went numb and my fingers started tingling I stopped taking the B6 and the numbness passed fully about 48hrs later.

My cycle is pretty stock average length, so I'm assuming my LP is fine (though I'm only tracking ovulation this month, so might find out I'm wrong), so I'm just taking a supplement of folic acid with calcium & vitamin D called Folic Plus. This was after reading that calcium can help you conceive and vit D is essential for calcium absorption.

I used to take Pregnacare Conception but stopped last month as it obviously wasn't helping and it's expensive. I now just take my folic acid (which I always took separately on top of Pregnacare anyway), vitamin C + zinc and vitamin D. I considered Boots Conception tablets and might look at that again when my separate vitamins run out.
If you are TTC please take folic acid every day. If you do nothing else fine but this is so important.
I think you do what suits you.

I've been taking pregnacare since I started to ttc, I figured all the extra vitamins would help

Just bog standard Tesco folic acid here. I eat a balanced diet so am pretty sure I get all the other vitamins in abundance, plus as a big fan of Bad Science and working in healthcare, I refuse to pay extra for pretty packaging and brand names!

I took seven seas trying for a baby for 2 months and have just switched to seven seas pregnancy and will continue to take those throughout! I don't think I've had any side effects and I feel happy knowing I'm getting the vitamins I need! X

Thanks for all your responses! I am going to carry on with just the folic acid for now, I might look to get some vitamin B6 to try and lengthen my cycle off to have a google now!
