Trying to conceive

Hey girls, new thread for us! This carries on from testing testing bfps. Gives us a chance to reset and say a small paragraph about ourselves for the newbies x
i am 34, Dh is 34, TTCing forever well seems like it, since April 2012 and been on clomid for 6 cycles no success, just waiting to have IVF now hopefully soon! I have no children yet and would like two if I am lucky enough. Been chatting on here for a very long time and have made some amazing friends for life I reckon. xx

Loving the new thread and what a great idea because I haven't been on here long so don't really know everyone's stories so will be good to get to know a bit about people that I chat to
I am 27 and my OH is 34 in November, we are very new to the ttc game and only started trying from June 2013. I stopped the Microgynon pill in April and my cycles are a little confusing at the min as they were 35 day cycles for May, June and July but my August cycle was 41 days long. As you can imagine being 5 days late it got my hopes up and I was testing everyday from 35 days I do feel more postive and relaxed this month
Neither of us have any children and I also would like 2 if I am lucky enough but would settle at 1 as since starting the ttc game I didn't realise just how hard it was to conceive and how much science was behind it all. I'm amazed at how people who are not trying get caught on yet us who are trying month after month struggle!
I'm looking forward to read everyone else's introductions

Morning girls! Great idea for a new thread Levi - lets hope this one's the lucky one! I didnt test with digi this morning as dh said he wants me to wait till he gets home from work, bless him im going to test again tomorrow, hopefully then my hcg will have doubled and it will be a stronger, darker line. The one I did yesterday wasnt with fmu, I think it was like my 4th pee of the day? And it was a strong positive considering I was only 12dpo! I woke up this morning happier than I've been in a while and take a look at my temp rise this morning! If I hadnt already tested yesterday I deffo would have today after that. I feel fab
For the new ladies; I'm Amy 22, dh is 28, we already have a daughter who is 2 and we have been ttc since march 2013, I just got my bfp yesterday!! absolutely over the moon. I had a rough few months with surgery, long anovulatory cycles and stress up to my earholes but we didnt let it get us down and its finally paid off ggoodluck to all of you xx
How are the rest of my ladies? WooH? Evemum? Charley? Judy? And how are you Levi, Ang and Lisa? Welcome to the group btw xxx

Hi all, I have just turned 27 & have been ttc for 12 months. Finally got my 1st af after my 2nd mc in July, the first being in Feb. So now I am back hoping for 3rd time lucky. I have a dd who is 4 (today) so am stressing a little that the age gap is getting bigger & bigger. x x
30/08/2013 at 10:50
Hi Supastar and happy birthday supastars dd!! Dont worry about the age gap, there's 11 years between me and my little brother just means they can help you out with new addition hope this is your month hun xxx
And I forgot to say (duh) lisa - most ladies use a special bbt thermometer which measures temp to the hundreth degree (eg 36.27) but I couldnt find one anywhere so just used a normal digital one. I dont think it matters too much, but a bbt one is better because sometimes temp changes are so subtle that a normal one wont pick it up. Also on your chart if your temp drops from 36.0 to 35.99 its only a tiny drop but will look massive because your normal thermometer will only pick it up as 35.9 if that makes sense? But its the pattern that counts rather than the temps themselves so its really just personal preference xx

Well, I'm 29, dh 28 (toy boy ), married 5.5 years and together for 12 years this month We are incredibly lucky to have one baby. He's called Fred, he's ginger, furry, 4 legged and the most wonderful pup we could wish for, haha He's nearly 8. I'm a teacher, dh is a leisure complex manager man (so Mr Fit, basically). I'm an avid runner, theatre performer and I love, love, LOVE my job with my amazing kids My weaknesses are animals (bit of a crazy animal rights bird) and kids (I find it hard to hold my tongue if I see terrible parenting and I tell the parent...). Nothing makes me angrier than animal or child abuse....except maybe Katie Price or Kerry Katona
We've been ttc since end of Feb 2013. I have pcos (diagnosed 2006) and was put on the mini pill to 'freeze-frame' my system. I came off that in Feb, and had long anovulatory cycles, except last cycle, where I actually ovulated AND got af! Wahoo! Shame it went balls up this month, currently unsure if I ov'd as temp rise coincided with spotting/crazy light af...who even knows?! I have a tendency for wild outbursts, and have discovered I'm far more emotional than I ever thought possible in these last 3 weeks.

Hi everyone. Nice to meet you and read your stories.
I'm 35 and dh is 39. We have one gorgeous dd and she is 20 months. I was on here when ttc dd but mostly on ttc after mc. We had 3 early mcs before dd came along.
This time I came off the pill a few months before ttc so as to lety hormones settle and try to avoid what happened last time. This is first month ttc and I have only used cbfm. I'm 13dpo and pretty sure I'm not preggers. Got a bfn this morning. So I have dug out thr bbt thermometer and I will crack om with that as well. I tend to have 27/28 day cycles so af should be here Sunday/monday.
Fingers crossed this is a lucky thread. Gp x

angwass2, loppy-lisa, gingerpoodle and supastar welcome to you ladies, hope your journey is short and sweet xx
happy birthday supastars dd! Xx
Wooh oh Hun, what an annoying situation for you to not know where your at with your cycle. Have you tried Angus cactus? Can't remember if you have or not it helps balance out your hormones xx
Evemum af is so boring isn't it, just want it over with! It's all the waiting I can't stand. Are you still taking the aspirin? Xx
andi30xx - aww sorry you have ahead such a hard time of it, I really hope this frozen cycle is the one for you hun, hopefully both going through it together xx
30/08/2013 at 12:16
Hey hun , yes ,started aspirin again the last day of spotting , still got some serious ov pain on my left side going on today , very early but I suppose that could be the ac ? n I got that pos opk at cd 8 that time do you remember ? lucky we bd the day before , was feeling frisky not usually so so soon after af , time will tell I guess ,also temp dipped to 35.97 today , how are you feeling , the waiting is indeed a pain , hope the red raspberry helps , have you enjoyed your time off, be great when you have your little baba n can have a bit of a rest from all the travelling etc , but you gota pay the bills right , like katie was saying I knew a girl who was on fertility treatment for approx 6 months , in the month off she got her bfp , hope it's the same for you , think the more relaxed approach can work wonders , let me know if you achieve it this could be our month , fingers crossed x x

levi - as always thanks for the new thread! here's hoping this is our cycle!!
I'm Charley, I'm 28 dh is 31. been ttc for over 3 years now, since we got married in Aug of 2010 (Andi!! what a coincidence!) I've had 2 mc in jan 2011 and Jan 2012. We've been through all the testing and not a whole lot seems wrong. No kids yet, the plan was for 2 but that was before the ttc process took so long. Thinking 1 might be a better goal.
30/08/2013 at 12:52
I'm 27 (28 in October) and partner is 35 (36 in October) and we have no children. We decided that we'll get married next year but then I got preg in Feb'13 after 2 months of ttc abd sadly lost the little angel in April. I was 13 weeks plus and was rushed into the emergency unit with brown spotting, we were told after 3 scans that there was no heartbeat and that the baby stopped developing at approximately 10+5. My sickness stopped at 10+5 (roughly) so it all started making sense! So we've put the wedding plans on hold and are concentrating on making a baby . TTC again since the end of April'13. I am a very emotional person and this has made me even more emotional so crying is on my agenda every month, if not every week Having trouble coping with life since the mc I decided to rebel a bit after the mc cos I was angry with life so I dyed my hair ginger ha ha and I actually like it! Anyways, I have joined the gym again, which has been great and I vented all my anger on the poor punch bag - I beat the life out of that thing ha ha
I work in the financial sector and studying for a financial diploma. Oh by the way - I passed my exam today! Yaaaay, although I'm a bit worried in case they re-check the results and change the pass to a FAIL It happened to people before - eeeek!
So ladies, how are you all? It looks like I've missed a lot this morning . . . .
My temps dropped again and they are below the cover line now. The bleeding is slowing down and there is hardly anything on my pad so I'm confused. Will see what happens tomorrow. I was hoping it might have been implantation bleeding but not sure anymore - it is too light to be AF but too heavy to be an implantation bleed. I even took my pad apart yesterday and analysed it - gross I know. To be honest I cannot imagine why anyone would want to do that ha ha
Feeling more positive about life today, whihc is a good thing
Love to you all xxxx
30/08/2013 at 13:01
sweetjudy - we all have those emtional times. I don't tend to be very emotional, but when it comes to this process I am. There is no emotional turmoil in life worse then having a mc, so I completely understand.
Thats what we're all here for. Help and encouragement!
30/08/2013 at 13:03
Thank you Charley, and I have to admit that you guys have helped me a lot and made me feel a lot better and more positive.
THANK YOU xxxx
30/08/2013 at 13:08
Congrats on passing your exam babe! See what your temp does tomorrow, confused by your situation tbh! Can only imagine what it must bbe like for you. I dont blame you for analysing the pad haha! We've all been there im sure. The amount of times ive sat there staring at my cm or the contents of my knickers. The things we do when ttc eh! Xx
Evemum - hopefully you're ovulating today! Dance like you've never danced before!! Good luck hun xx
Andi - sorry to hear you're having a hard time hun I've never been through assisted conception myself but I can imagine how difficult it must be. I hope this one's the lucky one for you xx
Can I just ask - Jay, how long did it take your boobs to stop hurting!? Mine are horrendously painful I just want to take them off and stick them at the back of the wardrobe until I need them again lol cant move without them hurting! We must be fairly close in dates xxx
30/08/2013 at 13:10
Oh and Judy - im naturally ginger and I love it! So does my dh lol xxx
