Apple and cinnamon porridge
- Preparation and cooking time
- 1 Apple, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 4tbsp Water
- 150ml Milk
- 15g Fine porridge oats
- 1tbsp Cinnamon
- STEP 1
Cook the apple in a saucepan with the water for 5 minutes or until tender.
- STEP 2
Meanwhile, put the milk and porridge oats in a small saucepan. Bring to the boil and simmer, stirring occasionally for 3-4 minutes.
- STEP 3
Mash or puree the cooked apple and add to the porridge with the cinnamon. Stir and serve.
- STEP 4
* Save portions of fruit purees, such as apple or pear, in the freezer to stir into breakfast porridge or puddings.
