Baked sweet potato chunks

A simple, healthy chip alternative that are great for dipping in ketchup, suitable from 8 months

  • 4 whole sweet potato, well scrubbed and cut into chunks or wedges
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1tsp mixed herbs
  • 1tsp paprika

Method

  • Step 1

    Pre-heat the oven to 200C/180C fan/gas mark 6. Lightly grease a baking tray, or line it with baking paper.

  • Step 2

    In a large bowl, mix oil and paprika. 

  • Step 3

    Add sweet potatoes and toss to coat evenly.

  • Step 4

    Place chunks in one layer on baking tray and bake 40 minutes.

  • Suitable for freezing. 
  • Serve with halved cherry tomatoes and a dollop of reduced salt and sugar ketchup. 
  • If you are making these to serve with fish fingers, you can bake them alongside the fish (they will need longer cooking time, though).
