Pork and Paprika

American-style pork and beans recipe, suitable from 9 months

  • 150g lean pork, cut into 1cm pieces
  • 75g carrot, peeled and diced
  • 150g potato, peeled and diced
  • 0.25 whole onion, finely chopped
  • 0.25 whole red pepper, finely chopped
  • 0.25tsp paprika
  • 100g reduced salt and sugar baked beans
  • 150ml water

Method

  • Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 180c (gas mark 4).

  • Step 2

    Heat the oil in an ovenproof dish. Then add the pork and seal.

  • Step 3

    Add the vegetables, cook for 2 minutes then add the paprika, beans and water

  • Step 4

    Mash to the desired consistency.

  • Use very low salt pork or vegetable stock instead of water to add extra flavour.
