Very berry rice pudding

Raspberries, blackberries and strawberries make up this fruity rice dessert, suitable from 8 months

  • 50g pudding rice
  • 500 ml milk
  • 1 handful raspberries, mashed or chopped
  • 1 handful blackberries, mashed or chopped
  • 1 handful strawberry, mashed or chopped


  • Step 1

    Use butter to grease a shallow, ovenproof dish. 

  • Step 2

    Place rice and milk in the dish and stir. Cook at 160°C/325°F/Gas mark 3 in the centre of a preheated oven until rice is creamy and skin is golden (45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your oven). 

  • Step 3

    Once pudding has cooled, stir in chopped/mashed berries. 

  • You can also cook it in a saucepan - bring the rice, sugar, milk to the boil, cover and simmer for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
